Aloha, all.

Thank you again for your unwavering willingness to participate in the foreclosure prevention events. The confirmed dates and locations are Kapolei Middle School cafeteria on Sat 8/20/11 and (new location) Maui Waena Intermediate School cafeteria on Sat 8/27/11. We had to switch the Maui location due to construction at Maui High School.

Flyer – attached is the event flyer. May I ask for your help in distributing this flyer as far and wide as possible to your professional and personal network and ask those contacts to share it with family and friends who may benefit from the events? I would appreciate an indication of how many families you can reach within your network. We will have it posted on the Congresswoman’s website and will distribute to the Star-Advertiser, Midweek, community publications, OHA, state libraries, community groups, chambers, neighborhood boards, churches, legislators, and any retail stores that will post it (Zippy’s, Jamba Juice, McDonalds, etc).

RepresentativesPlease let me know who will be at each event so that we can prepare nametags.

Sharing a Cab on Maui – A few organizations will catch a cab from the Maui airport to Maui Waena Intermediate School which is 10 minutes from the airport. If you’d like to share a cab, let me know what time your flight arrives and I’ll connect you with the other interested organizations.

Lastly, we would like to have this same event in Kona in the last week of August. In your experience, have you found weekday evening events in Kona to be productive? I don’t think having an event on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend would be productive, so we are looking at either Tues 8/31 or Thurs 9/01 from 4 to 8pm. My concern is that school, football, and other sports are in full-swing and people may not attend a weekday event, especially in Kona. Your thoughts? Would your organization be able to make it to a Kona event? Please advise.

Thank you so much. I look forward to meeting all of you. Together, this will be a terrific resource event for our communities.

Aloha,
Kehau
